Tourism Snowy Mountains (TSM), the leading organisation for destination marketing and tourism business development in the Snowy Mountains region, celebrated a significant achievement recently. The TSM website, www.snowymountains.com.au was named a finalist in the prestigious 2025 Australian Web Awards in the fiercely competitive Tourism category.

The Australian Web Awards, held in Melbourne, highlight outstanding accomplishments in web design, development, and user experience across the nation. Although the Snowy Mountains website did not clinch the top prize, being listed as a finalist is a notable honour, placing it among Australia’s foremost digital platforms. This recognition underscores the site’s excellence in strategic focus, design, and functionality.

Crafted by Newcastle-based creative agency Headjam, the website is a hallmark of digital storytelling, offering a bold, intuitive and visually captivating experience.

Since its launch, the website has been instrumental in boosting year-round tourism to the Snowy Mountains, highlighting the region’s stunning natural landscapes, adventure opportunities, and seasonal allure. It features engaging content, trip planning tools, event listings, and immersive visuals, extended to include smaller towns like Bombala, Dalgety, and Delegate, enhancing the appeal for potential visitors.

The website is part of the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery (BLER) funded Tourism Snowy Mountains Bushfire Recovery Program, aimed at revitalising the local tourism sector following the 2019-20 bushfires. This initiative not only supports the region’s recovery but also aims to bolster the economy and future tourism opportunities.
