Future Champions Camp Ignites Passion in Jindabyne

Jindabyne held an inspiring gathering, as young athletes converged for the Future Champions Camp over the weekend. Hosted by the Office of Sport – South East Tablelands at the Jindabyne Sports and Recreation Centre, the South East Sports Academy (SESA), in conjunction with the Far West Academy of Sport, conducted a program aimed at fostering future talented athletes.

The camp brought together emerging talent for a unique opportunity to hone their skills through high-performance training sessions and to forge connections that extend beyond sport.

The event was made better by the presence of Winter Olympian Josie Baff, whose motivational words provided some powerful moments according to SESA.

“It wasn’t just about building skills—it was about building confidence, friendships, and future pathways,” said a spokesperson from the South East Sports Academy.

Acknowledgments were extended to a range of contributors, including the National Snowsports Training Centre, Sapphire Coast and Snowy Mountains Physiotherapy, and the Far West Academy of Sport, for their valuable involvement.

The SESA spokesperson emphasised the collaborative spirit: “A massive shoutout to the athletes—they were the real stars. Their dedication, drive, and sportsmanship made this experience unforgettable.”
