This nail-biting win propels the Blue Heelers into a Preliminary Final against the Bega Roosters, scheduled for Sunday, August 31 at the Cooma Showground. The Roosters, who suffered a 24-18 defeat in their Qualifying Final against the Merimbula Pambula Bulldogs, now face the Blue Heelers in what promises to be a closely fought contest.

Throughout the regular season, Bega secured third place, with just a two-point advantage over Bombala, who finished in fourth place. The upcoming clash in Cooma is expected to be hotly contested between two evenly matched teams, each hungry for a spot in the Grand Final.

A Bombala club spokesperson expressed the team’s determination, stating, “Our boys have won their Elimination Final against a tough Eden outfit at their home ground and advance to the Preliminary Final next Sunday in Cooma. If they win in Cooma, they make their way into the Grand Final.”

“Great work boys, rest up and train hard to keep your finals campaign alive.”
